Construction workers are particularly at risk of health effects caused by asphalt exposure including skin rash, sensitization, fatigue, reduced appetite, throat and eye irritation, cough and skin cancer.
The American Board of Industrial Hygiene is reminding safety managers to limit worker exposure to asphalt fumes.
